Trista graduates with an Associate Degree in General Business Administration

ST. KITTS, JUNE 18TH 2010 (CUOPM) – Last Thursday, it was a proud moment in the life of former Washington Archibald High School student, Trista Williams.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in General Business Administration from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

The 18-year-old lass maintained a GPA of 3.75 during her two year stint at the college. She was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honour Society in May 2010 and was on the Dean’s List in the Spring 2010 Semester, Fall 2009 Semester and Spring 2009 Semester and to the President’s List in the Fall 2008 Semester.

Trista, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erasmus Williams would like to thank first Almighty God, her parents, her brothers and sisters and uncles and aunts as well as former teachers at Slacks Pres-School, the Maurice Hellier Memorial Primary School, the Washington Archibald High School and the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

Decked out in their gowns and caps, the 208 students from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College received their certificates and diplomas at the 17th Graduation Exercises.

This year, there were 154 graduands from HLSCC and 54 from the United Kingdom´s Chartered Management Institute programme which is being delivered at the college.

The college is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year under the theme “Honouring the Past – Forging Ties for the Future.”

College President Dr. Karl Dawson told the graduates the fact that they have been able to obtain a quality education from this institution is due in large part to the contributions of those who have gone before.
