Two men killed in separate motor vehicle crashes

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two men died on Thursday, August 28 as a result of injuries they received in separate motor vehicle crashes in St James and St Elizabeth.

In the first instance Jermaine Gooden was driving a Suzuki Baleno motor car along the Rose Hall main road in St James on Monday, August 25 about 2:00 pm, when the driver of a Toyota Hiace motor truck allegedly lost control of the vehicle which collided with Gooden’s car.

Both men were taken to hospital where the driver of the truck was treated and released while Gooden succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

The second incident occurred on the Woolery main road in St Elizabeth about 9:45 am today  when a Toyota Corolla motor car driven by Orett Hylton collided with a Toyota Mark X motor car travelling in the opposite direction.

Hylton and the passenger in his car were taken to hospital along with the driver of the Mark X. He died while undergoing treatment while the other two remain in hospital.
