Two shot dead minutes apart in Anchovy, St James

CrimeSceneCSt James, Jamaica — Two men are now dead following gun attacks minutes apart in their community of Mount Carey, Anchovy in St James, Thursday night.

Though the police have not linked the two incidents, Observer Online has learned that the two murders may be connected.

Dead are 32-year-old Tashman Stephenson, a stage crew operator, and 44-year-old mechanic Leo Oldfield.

Reports from the Anchovy police are that residents heard explosions about 7:24 pm and again at about 7:30 pm and summoned the police.

When the lawmen got to the community they found Stephenson lying face down in a gully and Oldfield was seen on his back in a pool of blood in bushes along the roadway. Both men were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
