KINGSTON, Jamaica –The police have taken a man into custody in relation to the death of seven-year-old Kadesha Cousins, whose body was found in the Rio Cobre near Dyke Road in St Catherine on Friday, November 7.
The man was held by the police on Sunday, November 9 at premises in the parish during an operation, the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) reported Tuesday evening.
His identity is being withheld at this time, the CCU said.
Kadesha had been reported missing on Wednesday, November 5. The Central Village police reported that the seven year old was last seen about 7:15 am at a bus stop in her community.
CCU issued an Ananda Alert for Kadesha on Friday and her body was discovered floating in the river the same day.
