Visitors robbed of US$20k, valuables in Spanish Town

RobberyFilePhotoASt Catherine, Jamaica — A couple was robbed of more than US$20 000 and other valuables about 1:00 Tuesday morning, June 24 in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Reports from the police are that the two foreigners arrived at a property in Spanish Town this morning, when armed men attacked and robbed them. The men made off with cellular phones, travel documents and cash along with other valuables.

The police say the couple was intent on conducting business in the island with the large sum of money.
