Westmoreland man chops brother, commits suicide

KINGSTON, Jamaica— An elderly man reportedly chopped and injured his disabled brother Sunday morning before committing suicide in Red Gate district, Whitehouse, Westmoreland.

Reports are that around 11:00 am 68-year-old Lascelles Grant, who is said to be of unsound mind, chopped and injured his brother, Wellington Grant, 53, before jumping into a water tank and drowning himself. Wellington was rushed to the Black River Hospital where he is being treated.

The police are investigating the incident.
