Winless Old Road Visits Unbeaten Dieppe Bay
BASSETERRE — Defending champions MFCR Old Road United Jets, still searching for their first point of the 2026-’27 SKNFA/National Bank Group Premier League season, face unbeaten TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles on Friday.
The match kicks of at 6 p.m. at the National Bank Group Technical Center. Old Road side sits eighth with zero points from two matches. While Dieppe Bay is unbeaten through two matches, and sitting third on four points. Dieppe Bay opened the season with a 5-1 rout of 607 Construction Lodge Patriots before being held to a 2-2 draw by Conaree FC.
Old Road, who went unbeaten for 16 matches to close out last season’s title-winning campaign. The defending champions opened this season with back-to-back defeats: 2-0 to Honda Newtown United in Week One and 1-0 to SL Horsford St. Paul’s United in Week Two.
Week Three begins Thursday at 8 p.m., with winless Lodge Patriots hosting Conaree FC, who sit seventh with a single point after their draw with Dieppe Bay Eagles. Lodge Patriots have lost both of their matches to open the campaign without scoring.
Friday’s slate continues at 8:30 p.m. when Newtown United, one of two clubs sharing top spot on six points, goes up against Cayon Rockets FC. Newtown is unbeaten through two matches, having opened with wins over Old Road and Garden Hotspurs, while Cayon has drawn both of its matches — a scoreless draw with St. Peters FC in Week One and a 2-2 result against Village Superstars in Week Two.
Sunday’s action opens at 5 p.m. with St. Paul’s United, atop the table on six points, hosting SKELEC Garden Hotspurs. St. Paul’s is unbeaten through two matches, having defeated Conaree FC and Old Road in succession, while Garden Hotspurs sit ninth without a point or a goal scored through two matches. The team lost to Village Superstars and Newtown United.
The weekend closes at 7:30 p.m. with St. Peters FC versus Village Superstars, a matchup between two clubs tied on four points. St. Peters is unbeaten through two matches, taking a point off Cayon Rockets before routing Lodge Patriots 5-1. While Village has also gone unbeaten, following up their 4-0 win over Garden Hotspurs and a 2-2 draw against Cayon Rockets.
All five matches will be played at the National Bank Group Technical Center.
