Work advanced on Isaac Barrant Centre of Excellence — Ministry
Kingston, Jamaica — The Ministry of Health says that work is far advanced on phase one in the renovation of the Isaac Barrant Centre of Excellence in St Thomas which is scheduled to be officially opened soon.
Junior Health Minister, Luther Buchanan, toured the facility on Tuesday to get a first-hand look at the status of the work being done.
“The team has been doing good work despite the challenges. We have to press forward with the completion of the centre as we seek to make improvements to the services that we offer in this community,” said Buchanan.
The Isaac Barrant Centre of Excellence is among four in the island that will provide increased and improved services at the primary health care level. There is one such facility in each health region. The others are Claremont in St Ann, Santa Cruz in St Elizabeth and Darliston in Westmoreland.
