Young man attacked and wounded

St. Kitts, May 16, 2010 – The Police are investigating a wounding incident that took place on Friday afternoon.

According to a police report, they responded to a report of wounding which occurred at Bakers Corner at approximately 4:10 pm where investigations revealed that Lovell Charles 19 years old of Ogees Village, St. Peters was attacked in the area of the junction of Wellington Road and Lozack Road and wounded by his attacker.

Charles was taken to the JNF Hospital where he was detained over night, treated for his injuries and discharged.

The Police release stated that one suspect who was assisting with their investigation was discharged pending further inquiries and the police are pursuing other leads to another suspect.

The crime scene was processed and items of evidential value were collected and taken into police custody. Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
