Tristar Nevis International Triathlon Announces 2012 Race

Charlestown, October 25, 2011 – All systems are on go for the 2012 edition of the Tristar Nevis International Triathlon. The format will be similar to that of 2011 with a full week of events, and as the event is expected to grow next year so is its already high profile.

For the first time Nevis will host the OECS Open Water Swimming Championships. This revelation adds a new dimension to the overall event as it means the presentation of two other championship events to entertain the public and to attract more sports tourist to the Federation.

The full event schedule reads as follows:

• Saturday March 24th the OECS Open Water Swimming Championships.
• Sunday March 25th StarMile2.5 Cross Channel Swim race between St. Kitts & Nevis.
• Thursday March 29th Pink Lily Cancer Care 5K Run.
• Saturday March 31st Tristar Nevis International Triathlon.
