Allure of the Seas grace the shores of Basseterre

ZIZ News…Dec 30 2011 – It was quite a historic day for the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis when the Allure of the Seas made a one off visit.

Many persons gathered at various vantage points around the harbour as the world’s largest and most luxurious Cruise Ship made its first and only visit for this cruise season.

There was an official welcome ceremony on board where a number of officials including the RT Hon Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas and Tourism Minister Hon Richard Skerrit were given a tour and treated to lunch.

The tourists were also given a welcome treat on land as folklore troupes and groups performed on Port Zante and Fort Street.
