Police investigating second homicide in three days

ZIZ News…April 19, 2012 — The criminal investigation department of the Police Force has been quite busy having to investigate the second homicide so far in three days.

Earlier this morning Thursday April 19, a young man was shot and killed on East Park range in the vicinity of the National Housing Authority.

According to a police source he has been identified as 28 year old Jermaine Browne alias “Blacky” of Conaree Village.

Members of the CID led by Inspector Charles Smithen along with members of the Crime Scene Unit, Commissioner of Police Celvin ‘CG’ Walwyn and Assistant Commissioner Ian Queeley visited the scene.

District Medical Officer Dr. Mervin Laws pronounced the young man dead.

Investigations are ongoing into this the seventh homicide so far for 2012.
