ZIZ News…Jan 20 2012 – A teenager is in hospital fighting for his life after being shot twice on Friday morning.

16 year old Shakeem Walters, better known as Hotness, was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of the morning with two gunshot wounds….one to the head and one to the abdomen.

The shooting took place on Park Street.

His mother, Shermine Walters told ZIZ that he came home after midnight but left shortly after and sometime later she got a call that her son was shot. She rushed outside to see him being taken into an ambulance, responsive but in a critical condition.

A group of friends and relatives said this isn’t the first time he has been attacked. The most recent incident occurred on Saturday during the Grandmasters victory jam when he was assaulted during the jam session.

Miss Walters says she has asked the police to protect him at the hospital and in the meanwhile, she will stay with him.

The police are investigating this incident.
