200 Plus Students Graduate from Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College

(ZIZ News) – On Tuesday, hundreds of parents, friends and general well wishers witnessed the 27th Commencement Ceremony of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

277 students, neatly dressed in blue gowns, received Associate and Baccalaureate Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, CAPE Diplomas and CAPE Certificates during what has become one of the federation’s biggest commencement ceremonies.

The 2015 Graduating Class of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College featured students from the Divisions of Adult and Continuing Education; Arts, Science and General Studies; Health Sciences; Teacher Education; and Technical and Vocational Education and Management Studies with 24 students being singled out for receiving special awards and prizes.

Among that group was ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation’s Monique Harris who received the Emerson and Susan Hughes Memorial Award for the Runner-Up CAPE Associate Degree Performance in Adult and Continuing Education. Harris joined the many students who received honours for their performances.

Other notable award recipients were Carolynda Welcome who copped the National Scholar Award from the Division of Technical and Vocational Education and Training; Kyla Matthew who received the Scholarship for the Most Outstanding Student from the Division of Health Science; Meguel Thomas who copped the Scholarship for the Most Outstanding Student from the Division of Teacher Education; and Clive Wilson who received the Dr. Joseph Christmas Award for Best CAPE Associate Degree Performance in Adult and Continuing Education.

Bevencia Clarke received the Nathaniel John Hospitality Studies and Culinary Arts Award for Best results; Devendra Daniel received the Department of Hospitality Studies and Culinary Arts Award for Most Outstanding Hospitality Studies Student and Azuree Liburd copped the CFBC Award for Excellence in Academic Performance, Extra-Curricular Activities and Exemplary Conduct.
