21st Century Government and Other Activities for ICT Week – St. Kitts and Nevis

The government of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in collaboration with the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) will host ICT week – St. Kitts and Nevis from 24 to 28 September 2018.

Incorporating the CTU’s statutory meetings on the 24 and 25, the week’s flagship activity is the 17th Caribbean Ministerial Strategic ICT Seminar, which will take place from the 26 to 27 September 2018.

Secretary General of the CTU, Ms. Bernadette Lewis, said “the seminar will focus on the promotion of 21st Century Government – Citizen-centric, seamless governments that use ICT to enhance their effectiveness, efficiency and transparency in the delivery of services to their citizens.”

She continued by adding that it will, “explore current and emerging technologies for increasing connections among and within stakeholder groups in order to accelerate progress towards 21st century government and the ultimate goal of ICT-enabled Caribbean development.”

The ICT week of events will be held under the theme, “21st century Government – Enhancing Connection, Accelerating Progress.”
