(ZIZ News) — The Ministry of Youth Empowerment’s 25 Most Remarkable Teens ventured out into the Sandy Point community, to showcase their talents, volunteer projects and achievements in a concert on Saturday.
Director of Youth Empowerment, Geoffrey Hanley expressed how delighted he was with the teens and encouraged them to aim for greater success.
“What is most important is where you end up. To our Remarkable Teens I urge you to continue to be positive, continue to strive for excellence and don’t ever allow anybody to make you feel that you cannot make it. You can make it,” he said.
Hanley also went on to thank the Ministry of Youth Empowerment for working tirelessly to make the event possible and said that he looks forward to hearing more of the countless accomplishments from our youth.
“I look forward to hearing greater things being done and being accomplished among our young people as a new chapter would begin,” he added.
Earlier, Hanley said the award has had a significant impact on youth in the past and will continue to be a bridge that fills the gap between the youth and the community.
The concert honoured the teenagers’ accomplishments in non-traditional categories such as Courage to Overcome, Leadership, and Youth Activism.
