4C’s Sponsors local Arts Program and Musical Theatre Production

Natasha St. Juste of 4C’s hands over a sponsorship cheque to LEAP

BASSETERRE, ST.KITTS (MONDAY 14TH MARCH, 2011) – As a steadfast part of its ongoing commitment to support to the communities in which it operates, The Caribbean Credit Card Corporation Ltd. (4C’s) has proudly stepped forward as a Gold Sponsor for an upcoming grand musical theatre production, geared towards showcasing the rich talent of Kittitian citizens.

The show, entitled ‘I’ve Got A Feeling!’, and all of its thrilling contents, will be produced and performed by members of LEAP – The Learning & Empowerment through the Arts Program. Established in January 2010, the Program set out with a mission to harness and nurture the creative capabilities of children in the Federation, providing a rich curriculum of fun and educational experiences in the arts, particularly in the genres of dance and drama. Over the past year, LEAP has significantly grown to reach out to adults also, and now houses a range of classes catering to in excess of 100 students. It is now delighted, ripe and ready to host its first ever, highly anticipated on-stage presentation.

Natasha St. Juste, Client Support Officer of 4C’s and Genieve Hanley, Managing Director of LEAP, met at the LEAP Studio with much excitement for an official handover of a cheque which marked 4C’s tremendous support. 4C’s nobly commented “Besides being fun, we believe Art is a necessary and most beautiful part of life. We see this leap forward not only as art being created but as art helping to release the creativity of our community. Caribbean Credit Card Corporation Limited is grateful to the LEAP family for their sterling work thus far and for allowing us to be a part of this process. We look forward to the musical production April 2011 and the continuation of this fine tradition.”

While standing amongst several of LEAP’s youngest students who were present at the point of the handover, Genieve graciously responded, “LEAP definitely stands for something appreciably positive in the lives of many. We take such pride in ensuring that persons are getting the opportunity to engage in the arts, and reap all of the great benefits that go along with doing so. LEAP’s ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’ musical theatre production is scheduled to take place on the evening of Saturday 16th April, 2011 at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, ECCB.
