7 contractors sign contracts to begin phase 2 of road rehabilitation project
Seven contractors have signed their contracts to officially mark the beginning of Phase 2 of the Road Rehabilitation Project during a historic signing ceremony near the Cunningham area on Thursday March 14 2019.
The completion of phase two of the project will result in the resurfacing of the entire island main road network.
Prime Minister Dr. Hon Timothy Harris said he is pleased with the work that Minister of Public Infrastructure, Hon. Ian Liburd has been doing in the Ministry of Public Infrastructure.
Dr. Harris then congratulated and listed some of the contractors who will be resuming working on part two of the Project.
Troy Flanders, Boonies Construction, Allie Construction, Stanford Stevens, Dwight Berry, Anthony Huggins and Iron Isaac have all been selected to resume work on phase two of the project.
Prime Minister Harris said that he is satisfied with the selection of contractors, noting that the group represents the opportunities provided to the ordinary man.
The contractors who submitted successful bids were given the opportunity to sign their contracts at the end of the ceremony.
Construction activity for Phase two of the Project will initially begin in Cabbage Tree and Wash Ghaut in Cayon, Ottleys, Bourryeau, Molineux, Christ Church, Saddlers, Mansion, Tabernacle, Belle Vue and Saddlers.
Work is expected to begin by the end of March and wrap up by the second quarter of 2019.
