7 in custody for break-in

(ZIZ News) — Seven persons are in custody in connection with a break in and theft early Monday morning at The Polo Company Too at The Circus.

According to the police, at about 3.00am, a concerned citizen noticed that doors to the store were damaged and the building appeared to be ransacked.

The information was reported to the Basseterre Police Station. The owners were notified and a loss assessment was done.

On Monday evening officers of the Police Force and the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force searched several properties and found several items of interest for the police.

Seven persons were taken into custody.

The investigations are continuing.
