AG Responds To SCASPA Announcement

Hon. Vincent Byron, senator, and minister responsible for legal affairs is stating that cabinet has not given the green light on a recent statement issued by the St. Kitts Air and Sea Ports Authority, SCASPA.

He made the statement at Wednesday’s NEOC CoVid-19 briefing after the release was circulated that afternoon.

During the afternoon, a statement was received stating, “The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) wishes to advise the Public, that effective June 1, 2021, all persons wishing to conduct business at the Ports’ Facilities (both Air and Sea), must present proof of Covid-19 Vaccination or a valid negative RT-PCR Test taken within the past 14 (fourteen) days.

This decision has become necessary to prevent the transmission of the virus
to the employees and stakeholders conducting business within SCASPA’s
space.”

ZIZ will continue following this story as it develops and will have more information as it becomes available.
