Security Forces climb off the bottom
Security Forces United opened the week with a vital 2-1 win over Rivers of Living Water FC on Sunday. Three much-needed points lift them off the foot of the table and give their survival bid fresh hope. For Rivers, the defeat continues a miserable season — still anchored on minus three points.
Patriots and Mantab dominate Monday night
Monday belonged to Lodge Patriots. A 3-1 victory over Saddlers United — who had arrived on the back of two straight wins — was a statement of intent. Patriots are now pulling clear of the field and look well on course for the best record in the Division. The result ends Saddlers’ impressive recent run and serves as a reminder of just how strong the Division’s leaders are.
In the late fixture, Mantab produced the result of the round — a stunning 4-1 demolition of Conaree Fireball International. It is Mantab’s biggest win of the season. For Conaree, the heavy defeat compounds a difficult campaign.
Hotspurs drop points as Galaxy strike late
Garden Hotspurs took another blow on Tuesday night, drawing 2-2 with Molineux Pitbulls. A side that needed a win to keep the pressure on Lodge instead dropped two precious points, leaving the gap at the top at a seemingly insurmountable level with the season entering its final weeks.
Village Galaxy closed the week in style, defeating Trinity/Challengers United 2-0 to strengthen their grip on a top-five position. It is a fourth win in recent weeks for Village and further evidence that they are one of the form sides in the division. Trinity/Challengers, meanwhile, have now lost two of their last three after a promising mid-season run.
