Human Security Continues Community Outreach
BASSETERRE: The National Secretariat For Human Security And Wellbeing is stepping up its community outreach across the Federation, with recent engagements targeting youth and national influencers.
On April 16th, Secretariat Coordinator Eartha Carey travelled to Nevis where she met with a group of boys and young men between the ages of ten and twenty. The session, held at the invitation of Pastor Ron Daniel, focused on conflict resolution and available support services.
In a separate engagement on April 11th at Government Headquarters, the Secretariat met with leading local entertainers, musicians and cultural ambassadors to explore how public figures can support positive messaging around safety and responsibility.
The Secretariat says both islands are fully involved in the initiative, with the next engagement scheduled for April 25th when the team returns to Nevis to meet with additional community groups.
On St. Kitts, an open forum engagement follows on April 27th at 5:30pm at the national solid waste management authority conference room. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in this event.
