Swimmers Represent SKN at Pan Am Championships

Two young swimmers have departed to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the Pan American Age Group Swimming Championships, which get underway today in Colombia.

Anuri Pemberton and Nazanu Chiverton will compete against some of the region’s top young swimmers during the championships, which run through July 12th.

Chiverton will represent the Federation in the boys 13 to 15 age group in the 100 metre freestyle, 50 metre butterfly and 200 metre individual medley.

Pemberton will compete in the boys 16 to 18 age group in the 50 metre freestyle and 50 metre breaststroke.

The team, accompanied by coach James Weekes, left the Federation this morning.

They were seen off by President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Aquatics Federation, Eldon Thomas, and president of the St. Kitts And Nevis Olympic Committee, Dennis Knight, who both wished them success at the championships.
