Justice Ministry Unveils Mural at Newtown Playing Field
BASSETERRE — The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs has unveiled a new mural at the Newtown Playing Field in Basseterre, aimed at promoting restorative and people-centred justice.
Titled “Restoring Together,” the artwork was created by local artist Miláno Welcome of Miláno’s Art Studio.
The mural explores accountability, healing, hope, inclusion and opportunity. It brings those principles into a space the community uses regularly.
The ministry says the mural is a reminder that justice extends beyond the courtroom to how people support one another and take responsibility for building safer communities.
