Sugar Boyz Draw Cuba Again, 2-2
St. Kitts-Nevis and Cuba played out a second straight draw on Monday at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, with the Sugar Boyz battling Cuba to a 2-2 result to close out the group’s centralized fixtures in League B, Group C of the 2026/27 CONCACAF Nations League.
Tiquanny Williams opened the scoring for the Sugar Boyz in the 16th minute, but Y. Perez leveled for Cuba in the 25th. Williams restored the lead from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute, only for Cuba to find a late equalizer through D. Díaz in the 90th minute, securing the point for the visitors in the final moments.
Cuba held the edge in possession, 53% to St. Kitts-Nevis’ 47%, and finished with six shots on goal to SKN’s five. The Sugar Boyz committed the bulk of the fouls, 16 to Cuba’s 11, while Cuba picked up three yellow cards to St. Kitts-Nevis’ one. No red cards were shown.
The result means the Sugar Boyz and Cuba finish the September-October window tied atop Group C on eight points apiece, both unbeaten through four matches. Williams’ penalty extended his tally to seven goals across the tournament, having scored in all four of St. Kitts-Nevis’ matches.
The November window will determine how the group’s remaining fixtures play out before League B moves to its centralized Championship stage.
