Ross University’s Open House a Success

(ZIZ)– Campus tours, raffles, and information booths were among the highlights of Saturday’s annual Open House activity hosted by the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.

The event, which commenced at 10am, sought to educate members of the Kittitian community on the educational opportunities available at the institution. It also sought to raise awareness on the university’s animal care initiatives.

While at Saturday’s Open House, ZIZ News spoke with Vice President of the Student Government Association, Jordan Richards who spoke during the early stage and shared his impression on the activity.

“Basically what we have going on, we have tours throughout the entire campus and basically people are getting to see all of the different labs and animals that we have at the school. So we have some different things going on with goats and sheep, cows, some different things with dogs, some lab things, microscopes, and all sorts of cool stuff like that. We have lots of tours that are going on right now. We have lots of people that are having a good time and yeah, it’s a lot of fun. We do this every year and it’s been a great time,” he explained.

The Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine was founded in 1982. Today, it offers Postgraduate Masters, PHD and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programme that are accredited by the St. Christopher and Nevis Accreditation board.
