“In these challenging times and in the context of a small island nation and economy, our investments and consumerism should effectively work in favour of modernization and human resource development, especially when we view the future through the eyes of energy needs, technology and development, health and productivity,” said Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas at the formal opening of a two-day Taiwan Trade Expo at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel.

He told scores of invited guests including government officials, local businessmen and women, students of tertiary and secondary educational institutions and representatives of several Taiwanese businesses from the American State of Florida, that the current environment leaves creative room for business to develop and promote products and services that have a high index rating for developmental purposes, particularly for the so-called developing countries.
