Parade of cruise ships as 2014/2015 Cruise Ship Season begins, over 8,000 passengers in the 3 ship days

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — The 2014/2015 St. Kitts Cruise Ship Season officially began Wednesday 1 October, heralding a season that could see the arrival of an estimated one million cruise passengers aboard 370 ship calls.

Starting what is expected to be a parade of cruise ships to Port Zante and the Deport Water Port was the Carnival Freedom which arrived from Puerto Rico with 3,042 passengers and a crew of 1,137. The Carnival Freedom departed after 5 p.m. for St. Maarten.

On Friday 3rd October, over 5,200 cruise passengers arrived on the Carnival Valor and the Disney Magic. The Valor had on 3,235 passengers and a crew of 1125, while there were 2,188 passengers and 1,014 crew on the Disney Magic.
