Walters’ Ton Stuns Prison Team

CricketFilePhotoMSports Page — A stunning, blistering century by Oneil “Daddy Shakes” Walters was the center piece of a comprehensive victory for the SDA Jets team on Friday 2nd January.

This as the Jets engaged the Men in Blue at Russell’s Rest.

The Prison team won the toss and elected to send the visitors to bat first. They were very confident having won the previous game between the two teams, quite handsomely.

The SDA Jets team chalked up a mammoth 207 for 4 from their allotted 20 overs, on the back of the scintillating knock by Walters, who scored 101, before he was caught.

His innings majored in maximums. Some were sent with brute force into the distance and others just lapped away with finesse, just using the pace of the ball to go over the small boundary.

Venrick Newton also made a quick fire 54; Captain Curtis Morton Jr struck 20 and Curtis Morton Sr also scored 20.

For the Prison team, Ferlance bagged 2 wickets; Chad 1 and Elliot 1.

The men in blue could only muster 117 for 9 from their 20 over’s.

Ferlance smashed 47; Hughes cracked 34 and Griffin 17 but it was far from enough.

For the Jets, Rakeesh was the main bowler with 3 wickets; Curtis Morton Sr 2; Judy Morton 2 and Venrick Newton 2.

SDA Jets won by all of 90 runs.
