Retired officers responded to call of duty

Basseterre, St. Kitts (RSCNPF) — Almost sixty (60) retired police officers responded to an invitation extended by the High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force in regards to combatting crime in the Federation and their support and assistance.

The meeting chaired by Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibilities for Criminal Investigations, Mr. Ian Queeley was held on Wednesday 12th August 2015, at the Police Training School, Newtown, Basseterre. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming show of support and encouraged all to contribute meaningfully to the discourse.

The session saw the participation of three (3) former Commissioners of Police, namely Mr. Robert Jeffers, Mr. Stanley Franks and Mr. Austin Williams along with former Assistant Commissioners of Police Mr. Joseph Liburd and Mireless Dolphin and a number of other former senior gazetted officers. Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of National Security, Mr. Osmond Petty, was also present at the event.

As stated by Mr. Vaughn Henderson, Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibilities for Operations, “Excellent ideas, comments, initiatives and offers came from all in attendance”.
