Prime Minister Harris Commends Work of Police Officers

(ZIZ News) — As the Government continues to throw its full support behind the local police force, the country’s Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, has publicly lauded members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

“I must pay tribute to the yeoman service of many officers at the middle and lower levels since we have launched the crime plan, the six point plan to minimize crime in the Federation for their support,” he said.

Minister Harris’ comment came late last week during his monthly press conference.

There, the Federation’s leader had the support of the Police High Command, Crime Fighting Consultant from the United Kingdom, David King and other members of the Police Force.

He spoke of the officers’ commitment to their job.

“In several meetings with the High Command, being advised that these officers have gone beyond the call of duty in very special operations which require them to be out very late, very early in the wee hours of the morning, risking their lives for our safety and our peace. I want, as the Minister of National Security, to record my own personal quota of support and appreciation for their bravery, their bravery, their courage and their support for law and order and that we shall certainly reward them and so, we will not take their work for granted,” he said.
