Shooting in Nevis leaves one dead and another injured

ZIZ News…June 14 , 2012 — The police in Nevis is seeking information on the latest shooting which left one dead ad one injured.

According to a Police release, on Wednesday evening June 13, 2012 officers of the Cotton Ground Police Station responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the village of Cotton Ground and following investigations it was revealed that two persons received gun shot injuries.

One Tonio Hutton of Cotton Ground received gun shot injuries to his left leg and the other male individual was pronounced dead on the scene by Dr. Ravi.

With the permission of the Coroner the body was escorted to the Alexandra Hospital. Investigations into this matter are ongoing and persons having any information surrounding this incident are kindly asked to contact the Police.

The release ended by stating that the Commissioner of Police Mr. C G Walwyn craves the support of the general public as they deploy all available resources to bring to justice the perpetrators of this crime.
