Rotary Delivers Goodies for Christmas

(ZIZ News) – The Rotary Club of Liamuiga (RCL) continued one of its long standing traditions of giving to those in need, in time for Christmas.

Club members packed and delivered more than 50 gift baskets, filled with perishable and non-perishable food items and toiletries, to families throughout St. Kitts.

The club’s Director of Community Projects, Maritza Bowry described the annual gift basket donation as a rewarding experience.

She said, “We not only give these items but we spend time with the families and the elderly persons share their stories with us. We really appreciate that they disclose these stories to us and they really appreciate us listening to them and some of them are very lonely so they really appreciate this gesture. It is truly a rewarding experience.”

The next event on the club’s calendar is the Rotary Club of Liamuiga Annual New Year’s Eve Charity Ball at Carambola Beach Club.

It is the club’s biggest fundraising event.
