Thousands expected at Swearing-In Ceremony of new Labour Party Cabinet

ZIZ News…February 07, 2010 – Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas has described this afternoons Swearing-In Ceremony as an unprecedented occasion.

Last week Prime Minister Douglas used the opportunity to thank the people of St. Kitts and Nevis for the confidence that they have demonstrated in his St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and in particular “in his leadership to lead the country for a fourth consecutive term and giving them the opportunity as leaders to continue on the development agenda.

He said the new Cabinet that will be sworn in this afternoon at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium will be reflective of the general views of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis as to how they spoke in the 25th January 2010 poll.

Persons attending the swearing in ceremony this afternoon are asked to be seated by three thirty and the ceremony will get underway at Four o’clock. Persons at home will be able to see and hear the ceremony live on ZIZ Radio and Television and streamed on the World Wide Web on ZIZOnline.com.

Following the ceremony a gospel concert will bring the curtain down on this significant event.
