Teen’s death ruled a “Justifiable Homicide”

(ZIZ News) — The Police High Command has issued a statement regarding the coroner’s inquest into the shooting death of 17 year old Philo Wallace in Nevis.

According to a police statement the coroner’s inquest was completed on Thursday, March 10, and the panel of jurors returned a decision of “justifiable homicide.”

In the statement the Police High Command said the Force respects the decision of the proceedings.

On Saturday Oct. 17 2015 Wallace was shot by an off-duty police officer while at a bar in Nevis.

The young man later succumbed to his injuries at the Alexandra Hospital.
