Two charged for possession of cocaine

(ZIZ News) — A stop and search in the Newtown area on Wednesday has led to the arrest of two persons on drug related charges.

During the operation near the Newtown playing field, the police stopped and searched a vehicle driven by Elvis Thomas of Boone Avenue, Basseterre with one occupant, Shenelle Isaac, of West Farms Village.

Officers found 124 grams of cocaine and a small quantity of cannabis.

Both were arrested and formally charged for possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

Isaac was also charged with possession of cannabis.
