Dominica citizenship programme ‘robust and prudent’, says government

The citizenship-by-investment (CBI) programme of Dominica is bringing investors into the island state, creating jobs and helping to restore the damage caused by Tropical Storm Erika in 2015. That’s the message from government and industry sources gleaned on a recent visit to the island.

Just outside Portsmouth on the northwest of the island, more than 200 workers are toiling every day to build a luxury hotel, jobs that would not exist without the CBI programme. In other parts of the country, roads, bridges, public buildings, houses for families impacted by the storm and for poor and vulnerable families, and other crucial infrastructure links are being rebuilt with foreign investment through the CBI programme.
