Bronte Welsh Primary School Students Dress for Success

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 27, 2013 (SKNIS): Students at Bronte Welsh Primary arrived to school on Wednesday (June 26) not dressed as students, but as their future selves at their first annual Career Day.

The event which was held under the theme “Believe it, Achieve it” saw over 70 students dressed for the profession of their choice. Various careers such as doctors, lawyers, agriculturalists, nurses and chefs were depicted. One female student even dressed for the part of Prime Minister.

The school was transformed into a career centre where professionals told them about their occupational choice. The students were also given the opportunity to practice what they were learning. Young chefs were taught how to cook and future carpenters learnt how to saw and hammer.

Principal of the school, Anthony Wiltshire, explained the rationale behind the event.

The Bronte Welsh Principal expressed that he is extremely proud of the students.
