St. Kitts and Nevis establishes diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain

September 27, 2018 (Ministry of Foreign Affairs): St. Kitts and Nevis established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain today, September 27th, 2018 in a brief signing ceremony. Foreign Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon Mark Brantley engaged His Excellency Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.

The energetic and fruitful discussion focused on potential areas for bilateral cooperation to build strong ties between the two countries, including the possibility of mutual waiving of visa requirements for nationals of both countries.

Bahrain joins the list of countries in the Gulf region with which St. Kitts and Nevis has diplomatic relations, as it seeks to expand its diplomatic footprint.

Both ministers extended invitations to visit their respective countries.

Bahrain is a nation comprising more than 30 islands in the Arabian Gulf, with a population of 1.4 million.
