Police Charge Two for Attempted Murder

The police have charged two men for the attempted murder of Businessman John Yearwood in Nevis.

According to a press statement, on Tuesday, the police charged Patrice Monzack and Mikey Mills, both of Newcastle, for attempted murder which was committed on November 08.

An earlier police report stated that at about 1:45 a.m. on November 8, two armed, masked individuals entered the home of John Yearwood in the Jones Estate area. Yearwood shot both intruders, and received a gunshot wound to the leg from one of them.

Monzack and Mills were two of four persons taken into police custody on Thursday, November 8 after the police and defence force in Nevis, intercepted a vehicle on a boat that was preparing to leave for St. Kitts.

Both men are currently in stable condition at the Alexandra Hospital where they are being treated for gunshot injuries.
