Prime Minister and Officials Visit Schools

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 13, 2013 (SKNIS): The Prime Minister along with all the Federal Government Ministers made their way to primary and secondary schools across the island for their annual Independence school visits.

The Prime Minister explained that the Independence Anniversary is an opportune occasion for the leaders to visit the schools.

The officials were warmly welcomed to each school during the weeklong activity were the Prime Minister formally introduced the Government leaders to the students. The Prime Minister explained the roles of the Ministers and how they have positively impacted the island.

While at the schools, the Prime Minister also handed over DVDs of the new animated series ‘National Symbols’ which was produced by the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service.

The theme for this year’s Independence is “Stability, Creativity and Prosperity, Independence 30.”
