Music Festival Bar Phete held in St. Pauls

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 11, 2019 (ZIZ News): The 2019 St. Kitts Music festival fringe activities continued with a Bar Phete in St. Pauls on Saturday June 8 2019.

The Bar Phete was held near the island main road at Ms. Richard’s shop, a well-known shop in the St. Pauls community.

During a brief interview with ZIZ, head of Marketing for the St. Kitts Music Festival, Val Henry explained the idea behind hosting the Bar Phete events and also explained the significance of these events.

He said hosting the Bar Phete’s help to bring communities together with fun and exciting games and competition.

Competitors were given the opportunity to win prizes and free tickets to the St. Kitts Music Festival following Saturday’s “Buss a Chune” challenge and dance competition. The participants were required to sing and dance to songs from any of the artistes scheduled to perform at the St. Kitts Music festival later this month.

The final St. Kitts Music Festival Bar Phete event is scheduled to wrap up on Saturday June 15 at Lover’s bar in Old Road and runs from 4-6 pm.

The 23rd annual St. Kitts Music Festival will take place from June 26th to 30th.
