SEA celebrates 50th anniversary with special anniversary gala

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 8, 2019 (ZIZ News): The Social and Educational Association (SEA) celebrated its 50th anniversary with its annual anniversary gala on Saturday.
The ceremony was held at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel and kicked off just after 7 pm.
Former Headmaster at the Basseterre High school, Dr. Eustace Esdaile presented the feature address.
He explained that the SEA was formed from the inspiration of his parent’s interest in community service and love for education.
During the ceremony several persons including Mrs. Julie E Leader, Mr. Alexis Knight and Mr. Asquith Albert Elmes received awards for their contribution to social and educational development.
Mrs. Maisie Jenkins, Mr. Eldred Jenkins, mr. Studley and Mrs Constance Elmes as well as Mrs. Pearline Knight were all posthumously awarded.
The Social and Educational Association 50th anniversary is being celebrated under the theme, Celebrating, Contributing, Reminiscing”.
