Appeal for assistance for Shanice Nanhoe

The family of 14 year old Shanice Nanhoe who has been diagnosed with a tumour in the left cheek, is appealing to the public for assistance to cover the cost of medical attention oversees.

ZIZ News spoke with Shanice’s mother Shelly Jailall who said while it has not been determined as yet whether or not the tumour is cancerous, most doctors indicate that they usually are.

She told us about Shanice’s condition.

Ms. Jailiall said before the diagnosis there was no sign that Shanice was sick.

Shanice’s mother said her daughter is a quiet child.

Ms. Jailall said the cost for the medical assistance in Jamaica is approximately 46 thousand EC dollars.

On Saturday at noon, a fundraising luncheon will be held at Bassy’s Tyre World at Canada Estate. A donation box will also be there for persons wishing to contribute further.

The family in collaboration with the Washington Archibald High School has also opened an account at National Bank.

The name of the account is “Shanice Nanhoe’s Medical Financial Assistance” and the account number is 10266390.
