Reflections- A Journey to Retirement by Ermelita Elliott

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 29, 2019 (ZIZ News): A retired educator on Nevis has documented a collection of her poetic work in a published book of poems entitled “Reflections: A Journey To Retirement.”

Having been in the education field for 39 years, Mrs. Ermileta Elliott served as a principal for 9 years and an education officer in Nevis for 4 years.

She spoke with Ziz News about how the anthology of poems came about.

She said she has received positive feedback about the book so far and thanked those who inspired and encouraged her to publish her poetry.

Mrs. Elliott said she is in discussions with bookstores in St. Kitts so that it can be made available to the public.

“Reflections: A Journey To Retirement” was published in June of this year. It comprises more than 60 poems and is divided into themes including patriotism, religion, tributes, education, nature’s voice, and life’s battles.
