More businesses promoting cancer awareness

(ZIZ) A local fast food outlet and a fitness centre are joining the St. Kitts Bottling Company in promoting healthy lifestyle choices and financing Breast Cancer treatment.

Minister of Health, Hon. Marcella Liburd said subway and life fitness centre have now come onboard to promote breast cancer awareness.

The St. Kitts Bottling Company has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds from sale of bottled water to a fund that can be accessed by the essence of hope and reach for recovery Cancer support groups.

Also, the Minister says as part of the Government’s National Health Insurance Scheme, “all who need Breast Health Services, be it prevention, diagnostic or treatment, will be able to use their insurance cards to pay for such services.”
