Zonal Poetry Competition participants awarded

Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNIS): “Drama: A Lifelong Learning Tool” was the theme of this year’s drama week; a theme which students of government primary schools focused on to create poetic masterpieces for the week’s Zonal Poetry Competition.

The week engaged the schools in a number of activities designed to showcase the value of drama in passing on ideas in an engaging and entertaining manner, the Zonal Poetry Competition being one such activity.

Winners and participants of the competition were recently awarded and recognised at a prize giving ceremony held at the Ministry of Education Annex where Drama Specialist to the schools Moses Byron expressed his gratitude to the students.

“About a few weeks ago we had a week of activities where we had children from different schools participating in Drama Day and also the Poetry Competition…We want to say how much we appreciate them for taking part in the poetry contest.”
