A.G. Byron calls on Nationals to support St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots Team

(ZIZ News) — Attorney General, Hon. Vincent Byron wants all cricket lovers in St. Kitts and Nevis to rally behind the local franchise, the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, in this year’s Caribbean Premier League.

Byron made the call on Monday when he accompanied Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris to the Yu Lounge, where they met with the team’s managers, coaches and players.

“I think that this is a great event, the greatest party in the Caribbean this year, the greatest summer party and we call all our fans, our sports fans, cricket fans, to come out and lend support to the local team. I think these guys are just rearing to go and they’ll give us a good showing this year and we’ll need to give them our full support. We expect to see them all at Warner Park,” the Attorney General stated.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots team will open its CPL campaign on Wednesday 24th June against the St. Lucia Zouks.

The team will then face off against the Barbados Tridents on Saturday June 27th, before heading home for its first match at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium against Jamaica Tallawahs on June 30th.
