A new Carnival Queen has been crowned following exceptional performances in various segments

ZIZ News…Dec 28, 2012 — On Friday at the Sugar Mill, Zinga Imo was adjudged the winner of the National Queen Pageant.

With the Title she also won the awards for Best Swim Wear, Best Evening Wear and Best Interview.

Miss Imo also won the Chairman’s Award.

Following what was described as a closely fought battle between the top two contestants; Irvincia Warner placed first runner up. She also won Best Performing Talent, and Best National Pride Costume.

Second runner up went to Mikhalia Lawrence.

Precious Mills won Miss Photogenic, Miss Amity, and the Miss Social Media Award.

At the time of the coronation no points were announced but sub-committee chairperson Nisharma Rattan Mack said they would be revealed as soon as they were released by the auditors.

Carnival events continue tonight with the Senior Calypso Monarch Competition which will be carried live on ZIZ Radio and streamed via tv.zizonline.com.
