Airline Update: American Airlines 737 MAX Flights

BASSETERRE (6TH December, 2019): The St. Kitts Tourism Authority would like to advise stakeholders in the tourism industry, that due to ongoing issues with the Boeing 737 MAX, which was grounded by the United States’ Federal Aviation Administration, American Airlines had to cut 30 planes from service in the Caribbean and Mexico.

The 737 MAX was not in service to St. Kitts, however due the shortage of the other 737 air crafts, the following flights to the RLB International Airport have been reduced for December. Please note the schedule for the daily AA318 flight is not affected.

From Wednesday 4th December to Tuesday 17th December,  2019:  AA 1236
The Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday flights will not operate from Miami to St. Kitts.

From Tuesday 3rd December to Wednesday 18th December,  2019:  AA 1236
The Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday flights will not operate from St. Kitts to Miami.

While we regret any airline service disruption, we trust the widespread awareness of the situation with the Boeing 737 MAX will help ameliorate the inconvenience this may cause our visitors.
